About Elsewhere

Elsewhere answers one question for people living in Germany: where can I work or move, and what happens to me and my company? It is built for founders, freelancers and remote employees who are thinking about a workation, a home office abroad or emigrating.

How it works

Every rate, threshold and euro amount comes from a source we opened and can show you. Tap any figure to see its formula, the legal reference and the source with its date. Where a rule needs judgment, the app says "Advisor needed" and explains why, instead of guessing a number.

Limits

Elsewhere is an educational tool, not tax advice. It simplifies, and every view lists what is modeled and what isn't. Your answers stay in your browser; a shared link contains the numbers you entered.

Who built it

Elsewhere started as a project for the Smart Start Seminar at TUM, topic "How to structure your business and taxes while working abroad".
